I recently saw the new red band trailer for Kick-Ass 2. In celebration, I did a portrait of Dave Lizewski. I also did a portrait of Hit-Girl way back when. I tried to mix up the costume from the movie and the comic.
Act like a bitch, get slapped like a bitch.
Thought I’d give some sort of explanation for this piece.
I was watching a video about shark fining the other day and was compelled to make a piece about it. The video is about how cruel fishermen are when they hunt sharks.
The fishermen capture millions of sharks every year and cut off all their fins so people can make expensive soup out of it, then tossing the body (alive) back into …the water.
I thought of the Jaws poster and how people we’re terrified of sharks when it first came out, and how I could flip the image to create a different effect.
